DJ Red Alert & Mike Slammer – Ganja Man [1992]

Belting track from Alert & Slammer, originally released late ’92 on white label dubbed “The Ganja Man EP”. The title track being the one that got the most play, and what play it got. I think it was featured on every mix I got from late 92, NYE and well into ’93. Its got the hardcore sounds but a heavy dose of Junglism to go along with it. The breaks are mental, the bassline is rocking and the ragga vox cuts are just perfect. Total classic.

Ive just found this in my collection of old hardcore and thought fuck me i will blow the dust off it and give it a spin.. I cant tell you how good this 12″ is,it took me right back and made me crank the speakers right up.The breakdown on side A track 1 is fucking class and takes some beating. Its almost Dj Hype in places. If you aint got this buy it as you wont be dissapointed. A must buy if you collect the finer old gems from days gone by….

DJ Red Alert & Mike Slammer strike again. Ganja Man is the best known tune here. Very happy, ruff breaks and “big up your spliff” samples. Very similar to their another tune they did around the same time “I don’t need your love”. 1-2-3 is another uplifiting stormer with diva samples and pianos. The other two tunes aren’t bad either.
