Sam’s Myth (Amen-tal) – Old Time Amen [2010]

I caught Sam’s Myth on the end of Novembers Mothers Against Noise podcast #2. His 30 minute mix was some seriously mental amen choppage that just rocked me so hard, ive listened to it half a dozen times this week while ive been slammed.

Im loving this track of his, the purely analogue bassline is infectious, his amen work is top notch and the ragga samples are purposeful rather than dominating the track – yes, im looking at you Congo Natty.

Hi, I’m a producer/promoter from Norwich UK, currently studying music production in London. I’m part of a Label in the UK called AMEN-TAL. We our a collective of producers who all enjoy hearing the amen break more frequently than your doctor would normally recommend. The beats we make range from ambient drones to full on filth riddled breakcore, with our main focus being on various strains of jungle music. Check for info. I’ve been producing for about 5 years on and off and use Ableton Live, Logic and Reason to make tracks on, i’m always up for collabs and feedback, Bless!
