Florence And The Machine – Rabbit Heart (P.E.S.T Remix) [2010]

Speaking of Florence & The Machine remixes, this one from P.E.S.T is a fantastic clean breaker remix. Big clean breaks, deep synth basslines and and a generous portion of vocals are what makes this track just so damn good.

Keep a close eye on the P.E.S.T boys, they are putting out some stellar work.

From P.E.S.T’s Youtube Bio
Raphael Zak and Ben Johnson aka P.E.S.T began working together in 2005 after producing music independently. Raphael started out producing UK hip hop and Ben began producing drum and bass with his first release on Mampi Swifts’ Charge Records.

Experimenting with house music in 2009, their tracks were supported by a number of Hed Kandi Djs, and aired on prominent UK radio stations Radio 1, Kiss FM, Galaxy FM and Capital FM, as well as gaining international support from New Yorks’ Pulse 87 FM.

P.E.S.T’s sound has continued to evolve since the two met and and has culminated in a self proclaimed mix of ‘breaks, house, dubstep and drum and bass,’ with a definite festival sound running throughout. A prime example of this hybrid style, their remix of Florence And The Machines’ Rabbit Heart, reached the top of
The Hype Machine chart in 2009, catching the attention of Island Records who signed it as an official remix.

2010 has brought more official remixes for P.E.S.T including Ultra ft. N-Dubz and Fearless for All Around The World Records and more for Island Records as well as seeing the launch of their label Pesticide Records.
