Yolk – Music 4 Da People ( Poached Remix ) [1992]

‘kin GWAARN. Piano BEAST this one from the Ohm Crew recording this one off, The Sunny Side Up EP. Its an absolute belter of an EP too. Right at the nexus of hardcore breakbeats and emergent happy piano / cheese. Really complex hardcore beats, crafty basslines and 100mph cuts make the whole EP completely mental. This remix was issued on the EP follow up The Sunny Side Up Remixes EP and in my opinion refines the track past its slightly cheddar-eque original (no AHA sample for a start!).

From Discogs
This classic record was created in my home town of Gloucester. The artistic talent and innovation from local Milf and the Ohm crew all played a huge part in making the rave scene a popular hedonistic pastime. God bless you all!! Ohm Records went onto become Ruffbeat Records.
One side samples A-ha- ‘Take on me’ while the other side samples Abba- ‘Take a chance’. To the best of my knowledge, only a handful of unstamped copies were produced.
